Where: Little Italy, San Diego

When: November 2005

Camera: Canon SureShot 105

Notes: This is the doorknob bin at Architectural Salvage, where old building materials go to live again. Dani and I were thrilled to find this place when we moved to the San Diego area. It reminded us a bit of Hippo Hardware, a great place to go treasure hunting in Portland.

Architectural Salvage has everything from switchplates to doors to African leaded-glass windows. You never know what you'll find there, but there's always something interesting.
